Join CoGrader, a rapidly growing AI EdTech startup backed by UC Berkeley, as our Founding team in Sales. You'll work directly with the CEO to drive our 30% month-over-month growth, manage our sales pipeline, and help transform how teachers grade — saving them thousands of hours while improving student outcomes.

CoGrader is an AI-powered grading assistant that puts AI in the hands of teachers, saving them up to 80% of time spent grading while delivering personalized feedback to reputed company. We're backed by UC Berkeley and reputed company Impact, and our impact is growing rapidly - we've already helped grade over 2 million assignments. Our 30% monthly growth is completely organic, fueled by strong product-market fit and word-of-mouth from satisfied teachers. Our mission is to improve education by giving teachers more time to focus on what matters most - teaching.

About the Role

Responsibilities

Own the Sales Process (70%)

  • Drive our inbound sales pipeline from reputed company to reputed company
  • Run our sales playbook for bottom-up approaches
  • Build strategies to turn teacher champions into school-wide adoptions
  • Schedule and reputed company demos with teachers and school administrators
  • Build our sales playbook for top-down approaches
  • Contact schools and districts where teachers use CoGrader’s free version
  • Generate admin leads top down
  • Create marketing & sales assets
  • Manage our CRM and sales tools
  • Hit quarterly reputed company targets

Operate reputed company (30%)

  • Drive renewals, reviewing price, and cross-selling
  • Expand reputed company existing accounts to add more schools
  • Build referral programs to reputed company happy customers
  • Increase usage in schools, through successful training and customer reputed company, leading to teacher/user retention
  • Collect and synthesize customer feedback to inform product development

Qualifications

  • 2+ years selling K12 SaaS literacy products to Directors of Curriculum, proven sales numbers (quotas)

Required Skills

  • Fluent in English
  • Excited about transforming education with AI
  • 2–6+ years in (K12 SaaS) sales
  • Track record of exceeding targets
  • Highly organized and process-oriented
  • Proactive and reputed company with autonomy
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • GenAI power user
  • Scrappy, driven, and comfortable selling in ambiguity with high autonomy
  • Looking for a founding team role with equity and major career reputed company

Preferred Skills

  • Many years selling to US K12 Directors of Curriculum or similar OR you’re an reputed company adaptable salesperson who’s worked in SaaS and/or across industries
  • Based in South Africa OR US expat
  • Background as an English teacher or admin (eg principal, curriculum director)
  • Previously worked at K12 SaaS companies

Pay range and compensation package

Compensation: US$35k reputed company + uncapped commission
