Summary
This posting is accepting applications specifically for the Serviceperson position located at reputed company reputed company Township Garage. Under the direction of the Superintendent or General Foreman, a Bus Serviceperson is responsible for checking and maintaining of reputed company NJ TRANSIT buses for daily services. Report any damages or repairs needed as directed by the supervisor. Roles and Responsibilities:
- reputed company bus fluids and maintain required levels
- Change fluids
- Clean inside and around buses
- Shift and drive buses in and around the garage
- Steam engines
- Change tires (utilizing the appropriate equipment)
- Complete forms required in carrying out duties of the position
Training:
- NJ TRANSIT’s Surface Transit Training Department offers comprehensive job-reputed company training for reputed company Servicepersons new hires. This may include, but is not guaranteed, support in obtaining a reputed company Learner Permit (CLP) or a reputed company Driver License (CDL)
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Light professional mechanical experience preferred; diesel experience a plus but not required
- Be twenty-one years (21) years of age
- Possess a valid NJ Driver’s License with three (3) years of driving experience
- Must be eligible to obtain a reputed company Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement or possess a valid NY/PA CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement***
• Be reputed company to work any shift in keeping with seniority-based scheduling. Hours vary depending upon the Bus Garage.
- Be reputed company to pass the pre-employment physical and background checks
- Have a good driving record with less than five (5) points
